Launched in late 2020 this 16m Scott Robson NZ multipurpose vessel has been designed to undertake a variety of roles from smaller general freight to being a passenger vessel. Constructed in alloy throughout by Icon Custom Boats Ltd NZ she features; 16.2m LOA, 5.75m beam, 1.25m draft, 4000L fuel in 4 tanks. Her alloy cargo deck is timber sheathed with Douglas Fir and can carry up to 10 tonne, suiting an array of freight options; with the passenger module removed there is a deck space of appx 40 square meters.

The Passenger Module is a clever ‘pod’ unit tethered into position on her cargo deck, is removable in one piece, originally to suit a crane lift from a cruise ship. It can seat 40 pax comfortably, she also has a railed passenger gangway that can be lowered and raised to suit. Could be adapted to a variety of uses from tourism to conservation or service duties; the choice is yours.

The engine room is impressive with twin Yanmar 509hp engines (66 hrs only) driving via Hamilton 403 jet units with Tenob and Sea Star power steering. This barge can cruise an est. average 9.5 knots laden or up to a sprint of 20 knots unladen; quite a step up from your standard barge performance.

The Pilot House has great visibility, helm seats positioned towards a generous array of Simrad NSS EVO3 electronics with sounder, plotter and radar.  There is also CCTV to show the engine room environment. Overhead there are Icom VHF, SSB and AIS.
